Porto Rafti-Vravrona
Porto Rafti
Is a typical seaside resort of Attica, nothing less nothing more, the visitor wont show any interested to anything else than the public beach of Avlaki and/or the caf?/clubs later in the evening. The last 15 years many Athenian live here permanently due to its close proximity with the airport(18km) and Koropi metro station (10km).
The town hugs the bay, most of them in the flat area behind the beach but also some hills around that have nice view over the bay. I think it doesn?t worth to be there unless you visit someone, just park the car along the seaside street and enjoy the beach. This place is ideal for daily escape from Athens
Vravrona
In the tranquil Attica countryside outside of Athens lies the temple complex of Vravrona, sometimes called "The Parthenon of the Bear Maidens", a sacred site of the huntress-goddess Artemis. While Vravrona is a bit busier since the opening of the Athens International Airport in Spata, it is still skipped by most visitors to Greece - and most tour operators - solely because it is a bit out of the way.
