Day First

Just one hour from the city of Athens, we will  visit  the famous Corinth Canal, which joins the Aegean and Ionian sea through the Corinthian Gulf. Our next stop is the site of Ancient Corinth, featuring the Temple of Apollo, the Poirene Fountain and the archaeological museum, where many finds are exhibited. Mycenae, the Kindom of the Atreidae, we will visit the Tomb of Agamemnon, the Cyclopean Walls, the Lion Gate and the archaelogical museum. Than to Epidavros, where we will visit the ancient theatre, famous for its excellent acoustics and Asclipion deticated to medicine god Asclipios. Last stop is the city of Nafplio, the first  capital of modern Greece, with  the  Venetian  fortress of Palamidi and  the fortified island  of  Bourtzi. We stay our first night here. This is the Argolis tour.

Day Two

We leave Nafplio and we take the road to west Peloponnisos that leads after about 200km wea are arriving to the arcaiological site of Olympia. Now we can visit the the eminent museum and archeological discoveries. We stay the night at Olympia.

Day  Three

We leave Olympia and via Patras we go to Ioannina, a city on the north west part of Greece. We will be there after 4 and a half hours. Ioannina is a modern city historical for Greece with a beautiful lake that marks the city. You can walk all the afternoon there and late at night we will back to the hotel.

Day Four

20 km outiside from the city of Ioannina is the archaological ancient city of Dodoni. The magnificent ancient theater stands there and it's at excellent condition like the theater of Epidavros. A hollly city for the ancient Greeks like Delfi, because the oracle was here so powerfull like the oracle at Delfi. We will leave Dodoni and we will drive east and north via the new egnatia odos to the City of Naousa. We will be there during afternoon.We rest at the hotel for the next day.

Day Five

Next day includes our visit to two excellent spots of the region. The first stop is at Vergina (ancient Aigai), the first Macedonian capital in antiquity. The city was built in the 7th century BC and became a political and religious capital of the Macedonians. Here, we visit the royal tombs were unearthed in 1977. One of these tombs belong to Philip II (the father of Alexander the Great), where offerings were found (burial objects) inestimable historical value. Then see the waterfalls of Edessa and dine in the beautiful municipal REFRESHMENTS next to waterfalls. Afternoon coffee in baths ARIDAIAS-swank.

Pozar ( Loutraki ) located in Pella lie at the foot of Mount Kaimaktsalan. The area is built on the banks of THERMOPOTAMOU that crosses the region. Final stop is Pella, the second Macedonian capital of antiquity and Alexander the Great homeland. The mosaics that decorate the floors of the houses of that time was beautiful. Then we will visit the archaeological site and the small, but very significant, museum. We end our day with our arrival in Thessaloniki.

Day Six

We depart from our hotel at Thessaloniki for the city of Kavala residents of Thassos, in the 7th century BC together with immigrants from Paros founded Neapolis (modern Kavala ) , thus trying to cope with invasions from Thrace. The Prefecture of Kavala is for the tourist, a pole of attraction for its 2,500 years of history, the harmonious coexistence of modern with the old, the combination of the mountain with the sea, the varied cultural events, which are held in modern and ancient theaters and the chances for several excursions to such places as in the nearby bright green island of Thassos and the archaeological area of Filippi. The city said the port was road to the area of Dato and Mount Paggaio while connecting the East and the West. From Naples passed the Persians when they started their campaign against Greece, and begins to inhabit the 650-625 e.g.

Fifteen kilometers west of Kavala, the ruins of the ancient city of Philippi. The original name of the city was Krinides, by Thassians settlers who founded and renamed Philippi by his father M. Alexander, Philip II. Particular importance acquired after 42 BC after the conquest by the Romans because of Egnatia Odos and the gold mines of the region The city is a milestone for Christianity, as the Apostle Paul founded there the first Christian church in Europe 50 AD Today, excavations are still being made in the region, which in the past have highlighted segments, the palaces, the walls, etc., the most important of the ancient theater which operates to this day during the Festival of the homonymous summer. During afterrnoon we return to Thessaloniki.

Day Seven

We have our breakfast in the most beautiful, perhaps, Greek city, and we start a city tour for two to three hours to be some familiar to second biggest city of Greece. Than we depart for Dion in Pieria. The holy city of Macedonians gained great reputation and shine when the throne of Macedonia ascended Archelaos, who founded Dion famous festivals, such Dion Olympia. Philip B ' after each victorious campaign came to Dion to sacrifice. Alexander the Great in Dion spent a grand total -ftiagmeno by sculptor Lyssipo- 25 bronze horseback young Macedonians. The 220 ??BC General of Aitolous Scopas destroyed Dion. Later the Macedonians the rebuilt and redecorate with beautiful monuments. The Romans continued here the worship of Zeus and later created Dion one of the four major Roman colonies in Macedonia. A stop at the Castle of Platamonas and than we end our day to Meteora.

Day Eight

Next morning we started our visits to some of the traditional monasteries at Meteora is a cluster of huge sandstone darkcolor cliffs which rise out of kalambaka, near the first elevations of Pindus and of Hasia. The monasteries of Meteora, which is built on the tops of some of the rocks, is today the second most important monastic complex in Greece, after Mount Athos. Of the thirty that were historically, today operate only seven, which, since 1988, are included in the list of UNESCO world heritage monuments. The creation of the geological landscape, although has occasionally employ many Greek and foreign geologists, has not yet clearly interpreted. It is interesting that neither Greek nor ancient Greeks Mythology nor stranger historian has been reported in this area.After our visit there we start our trip to Delfi. We rest to the area of Delfi the night.

Day nine

Delphi, navel of the earth and centre of the ancient Greek world. In the famous sanctuary, where Pythia delivered her famous oracles, we will visit the temple of Apollo, the archaelogical museum, the treasury of the Athenians, the Castalia Spring, the Gymnasium e.t.c.
Then our trip takes us to the picturesque village of Arachova, one of the most frequented winter resorts in Greece, with a breathtaking view. We will have lunch in one of the traditional restaurants and than we visit  the Monastery of  Holy Luke on the slope of Elikon Mountain. It is a saved Byzantine monastery with splendid mosaics. This is the last stop of our jurney before we return to Athens late at afternnon.

Be sure that you see almost the 50% of Greece with this excursion. The other rest part of Greece is sea and islands.
