1day tour Athens - Corinthos at the steps of St. Paul
During the whole tour we have the opportunity to visit the Parliament, the University, the Library, the Presidential Residence (Ex-King Residence) with the traditional presidential Guards, Panathinaiko Stadium (where the first Olympic Games took place in 1896), the Temple of Zeus and of course we will visit Acropolis.
After Apostle Paul was expelled from Athens he visited Corinth which was one of his beloved cities.
We will have the chance to visit the Cathedral of St. Paul, the Market, and walk at the same paths that Apostle of Nations walked and preached hundreds of years earlier. The Acts of the Apostles inform us that at some point Corinthian Jews united against Paul. They dragged him to the court accusing him that he was illegally trying to persuade people to follow his preaching. Few weeks later he decided to leave Corinth. He had to quickly go to Ephesus. He said goodbye to his friends and he left Corinth accompanied by Silas, Timothy, Akylas and Priskilla. Apostle Paul is the patron saint of Corinth and Corinthians built an impressive church in his honor. After our visit, we will make a short stop for a cup of coffee and we will return back to Athens.
